SUMMARY:Introduction to Improv Class
DESCRIPTION:Discover the fundamentals of improvisation in a fun\, supportive\, and low-pressure environment. This five-week introductory course uses games\, exercises\, and scene work to explore the core principles of improv\, including listening\, collaboration\, creativity\, adaptability\, confidence\, and the core concept of “Yes\, And.” \nNo previous improv or performance experience is necessary. Whether you’re interested in performing on stage\, building confidence\, thinking on your feet\, or simply trying something new\, this class provides an opportunity to learn through play. \nThroughout the course\, students will practice letting go of the need to have the “perfect” idea\, becoming more comfortable with the unexpected\, supporting their scene partners\, making confident choices\, and discovering what happens next. \nThe class will run on Mondays from 7 PM – 9 PM. \nSessions will run: \nOct 5 to Nov 2\nNov 9 – Dec 7 \nWhy learn improv?  Great question!  Here are some reasons: \n\nRefine your communication skills\nImprove public speaking\nLearn better team-building methods\nTo possibly perform on a stage\nMeet new people\nHave fun\n\nThere is a cap of 12 participants for this class. \nMore events at ComedyCity: Click Here
